MO, multifaceted obsessionist, noun: one who has a plethora of interests, usually of the creative variety
Hi, I'm Molly. I invented the phrase multifaceted obsessionist in an attempt to encompass everything I was (and still am) interested in. It is a moniker that I've held onto because I haven't found a word or phrase that works as succinctly. This site, while it sometimes delves into different aspects of my various interests, will be kept to the two main ones: art and photography. I create primarily with pen, pencil, and lens. My fine art is with colored pencil (primarily Caran d'Ache with occasional Prismacolor supplement), my doodles with graphite and Micron pens, and my photography with a trusty Canon Rebel T2i. Now, for a little bit about myself.... I was born/raised in Illinois, and settled in Arkansas by way of Colorado. I was homeschooled with three brothers and grew up on a little farm with chickens, goats, horses, dogs, cats, etc. I can never remember having a time in my life to say 'I'm bored' because there was always, always, ALWAYS something to do. I put myself through a community college for 2 years studying graphic design before deciding that college just wasn't for me. The next year I applied for a job in Colorado and worked for two summers at Wind River Ranch. The ranch was life-changing...so many things happened and friendships were made and experiences were shared that shaped my life infinitely for the better. But at the end of my second summer I was ready to move on to new things.....enter Arkansas. A very long story short: I applied for a position at an insurance office, moved to a little town in Northwest Arkansas, and began putting down roots. As of the launching of this website I have been here for 2.5 years. I sell insurance and train horses during the day (I love the dichotomy of saying that), and photograph, create art, etc whenever I have a free moment. Thanks for visiting! Come back soon! |
